Privacy Policy

Asterism Invoice is an invoicing app operated by Asterism Holdings, LLC ("Asterism," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We built Asterism Invoice to help you run your business — not to profit from your data. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email (or Apple's private relay email) from that provider.
• Business and invoicing data. The content you enter into the app — your business profile, clients, items and price book, invoices, estimates, and payment records.
• Support communications. If you contact us, we keep the messages you send.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic or crash data needed to keep the app working.
• Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription, managed through the app stores and our subscription provider.

How we use your information

• To provide the app: creating and storing your invoices, clients, and items, and syncing them securely across your devices.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To process subscription purchases and, when you choose to, to help you accept payments from your own clients.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Payments

Asterism Invoice offers two separate, independent payment functions:

• Your app subscription. Optional paid features are sold as an in-app subscription and billed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Our subscription infrastructure provider (RevenueCat) processes subscription status on our behalf. We never receive or store your payment card details for these purchases — they are handled by the app store.
• Getting paid by your clients. If you choose to accept card payments on your invoices, you connect your own Stripe account. Payments flow directly to your Stripe account and your bank — Asterism never holds your funds and never sees or stores your customers' full card numbers. Stripe processes this information as an independent controller under Stripe's own privacy policy.

How your data is stored

Your account and app data are stored in our cloud database and authentication service provided by Supabase, hosted on secure infrastructure in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is restricted to your authenticated account through row-level security, so other users cannot read your data.

Service providers we share data with

We share limited information with trusted service providers only so that they can perform services for us. These include:

• Supabase — authentication and cloud database hosting.
• Apple & Google — sign-in, and (for subscriptions) app-store billing.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Stripe — payment processing when you enable invoice payments.
• Resend — sending invoice emails on your behalf when you choose the email option.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently removes your invoices, estimates, clients, items, and profile from our systems. Some records may be retained where required by law (for example, tax or accounting obligations of our service providers).

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, authenticated access, and row-level data isolation — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues.

Children's privacy

Asterism Invoice is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
